I was thinking of doing a music video with multiple people in the summer. Currently, I have a few options/ideas for which songs/artists to use.
Olivia Rodrigo- Can’t Catch me now- 3 minutes 24 seconds
Sombr- undressed-3 minutes 1 second
Sombr- 12 to 12- just over 4 minutes
Olivia Rodrigo- scared of my guitar -4 mins 23 (possibly too long)
Gracie Abrams- Rockland- 3 minutes 36 seconds
Gracie Abrams- Block me out- 4 minutes 9 seconds
Beabadoobee- the way things go - 3 minutes 7 seconds
Beabadoobee- the perfect pair- 2 minutes 57 seconds.
A few of these songs are more than 4 minutes which may be too long for the brief. However, my plan is to choose one of these/one similar, with a spring/summer narrative. I plan to have multiple people in the music video, and feature cartoon-style graphics over the video, matching the themes of the song or the lyrics. If there are repeated lyrics in the music video, I plan to feature some text over the top of the music video which fits the style of the video. Since the target audience are between the ages of 16 and 25, I would like to include the people in the music video in locations where teenagers often hang out/ activities teenagers do. This would make the music video relatable and relevant to the target audience, as they are likely to have been in the same location/similar situations to the people in the music video.
