perfume advert

My target audience for this product is teenage /adult women. I chose to feature one of the brand’s main mottos, the fact that they aim to improve women’s self confidence levels, which is something women often struggle with in modern day society. This would therefore appeal to this specific target audience, because they identify with the issues raised, and are more inclined to read more into and buy the product. I also chose the particular background, as it has connotations of sophistication and luxury. Adding to this, I also chose to add a gold ribbon to the bottom of the advert. I chose to feature this because the ribbon has connotations of femininity, and the gold colour highlights royalty and elegance, typically associated with females of today’s society. This also shows that the product is aimed at an ABC1, female target audience. This demographic would be more interested in purchasing a luxurious product, and the gold within the advert and the marble effect. I also made the decision to add the line “creating fragrances for you since 1997”, because it demonstrates that this brand is a long running, successful fragrance brand. This helps the audience to want to purchase the product, because the brand gains the trust of the audience, making them more inclined to buy it.
